A’s and O’s Farm Tour—10 a.m.-Noon, Saturday, May 6, 2023

Gather at the Lake Shore Blvd. field of the urban, organic A’s and O’s Farm. This tour will show examples of no-till mulch farming, solar water pumping, deer and rabbit pest protection techniques, and maybe share some ideas for pacifying the occasional human pest living next door.

The organic asparagus field hopefully will be in full production by then, so you can pick a meal’s worth to take home, as well as some rich, composted wood chips for your garden. And there may be the opportunity for hands-on planting of seeds, asparagus roots, or perennials, so wear boots and coveralls!

The Lake Shore Blvd. field of A’s and O’s Farm has no address. Put 7627 Lake Shore Blvd. Mentor, OH 44060 in your GPS, and then pull in the driveway directly WEST of that address (the dirt path going into the woods from Lake Shore Blvd., opposite Chase Dr.)

Rain date is Sunday, May 7. Contact Valerie at (440) 231-0842 or Tom at (440) 257-2673 with questions. A donation to OEFFA is requested.

(2:40-3:30 p.m.)

A donation to OEFFA was requested to participate in these workshops.
