Organic Dairy Pasture Walk and Farm Tour at Settlage & Settlage

Join Jordan Settlage for a farm tour of Settlage & Settlage, a certified organic dairy milking 120 cows for Organic Valley on more than 300 acres of perennial and annual pasture.

Walk this sixth generation livestock operation and learn how Jordan manages pasture, moves and waters cows in a high rotation system, and serves as a master grazier in the federally-recognized Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship (DGA) program.

Chelsea Gandy, OEFFA’s DGA Education Coordinator, will be on hand during the farm tour to answer questions about the program, which OEFFA began facilitating in Ohio in 2019. This two-year apprenticeship matches farmers with master graziers for 4,000 hours of training including 3,700 hours of on-farm experience and 300 hours of related formal course instruction and peer networking.
